Mary is a people-centric, equity-focused talent leader. Mary believes that when there are consistent and equitable talent systems from recruitment to onboarding to ongoing HR employees will be able to thrive and grow in the organization. Mary loves connecting with people and working with them to ensure they succeed in their current or future roles. Mary is passionate about working with hiring teams to create selection processes that mitigate bias and that ultimately leads to adding an excellent addition to their team.

Mary spent 5 years leading recruitment for KIPP in New Orleans, and Texas. At KIPP, Mary created equitable hiring practices and led leadership recruitment. Mary led the searches at KIPP Texas for Superintendents, Chiefs, and School Leaders. In addition to recruitment, Mary worked with the executive team to implement a talent review and successor planning process. Most recently Mary was the Project Director for Transcend an organization that takes schools on a design journey to reimagine their school day.

Mary received her Bachelor's in Urban and Environmental Policy from Occidental College in Los Angeles. Mary lives in Austin, Texas with her partner, Jason, and their cat Bon Bon. Mary enjoys kayaking, swimming, and watercolor painting.
